Hamid currently serves as an elected Member-at-Large of the NBA Board of Governors, helping shape the organization’s strategic direction, governance, and member-focused initiatives at the national level.
Hamid championed the NBA Selma Jubilee Mock Trial Program, helping expose students to trial advocacy while advancing awareness of civil rights through education and advocacy.
Hamid led 2025 NBA Hill Day discussions with civil rights organizations including CAIR, the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights, and the ACLU to advance policies that protect our communities.
Hamid participated in the 2025 Diaspora Summit in Accra, Ghana as part of Past-President Ben Crump’s delegation, focusing on reparations policy, global justice initiatives, and economic empowerment. He has also been active in AfCFTA delegation efforts to promote trade, investment, and opportunity across the African continent.
Hamid has organized national legal networking events and professional development opportunities that connect, empower, and elevate NBA membership, including engagement with Divine 9 organizations.
